Live Lesson Credits

Pre-paid subscription credits are always active for one month at a time and subscription payments are non-refundable. If unused, credits do not roll over to the next month. If you’re subscribed to the Serious Plan, for example, your 8 monthly credits must be used within that month’s billing period. If unused, they will expire and your account will reset to 8 new credits at the start of your next billing period. Unused credits cannot, as a rule, be transferred to the following month.

Gift credits and voucher credits, on the other hand, remain active beyond your monthly billing period. If a tutor doesn’t show up to one of your lessons, we automatically add a gift credit to your account for the inconvenience.

Bundle credits are valid for 6-8 months, depending on the size of the bundle. Bundle payments are non-refundable

What are half credits?

If you miss a lesson or cancel it less than a day in advance, we charge you between 0.5 and 1 credit. If you cancel a Live Lesson less than 24 hours but more than 90 minutes ahead of time, we deduct half a lesson credit from your account. If you cancel less than 90 minutes ahead of time or don’t show up before the ten-minute joining window elapses, we deduct a full lesson credit. In both cases we pay the tutor, since they may well have missed out on another booking.

Half credits do not allow you to schedule lessons, but if you end up cancelling two lessons less than 24 hours but more than 90 minutes before they start within the same month, you only lose one credit instead of two.

I have one Live Lesson credit per month. One is about to expire in 3 days. I want to book with my favourite tutor but she only has a slot free in a week. If I book it now, does it use the credit from this month? Or will that run out and it will be deducted from next month’s credit?

Hi @Abigeil89,

Thanks for your question! You need to use the credit (take the lesson) before your plan renews, as a credit is first taken when a Live Lesson successfully takes place. As such, please book a lesson with another tutor.

With best wishes,

Sam
