Sarah from Germany

Hello everyone  My name is Sarah and I’m from Germany. It’s been almost a year now that I started tutoring at Chatterbug and I absolutely love it! As a student I couldn’t imagine a better part-time job: chatting with people from all over the world that want to learn something about my mother-tongue while sitting on the couch slurping hot chocolate :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I study Translation and Interpretation at the University of Mainz in Germersheim. My language combination is German-English-Spanish and I’m currently in my last year of the undergraduate program which I decided to spend in Córdoba, Argentina. Besides my ‘official’ languages I also know a bit  about French, Slovak and Russian.

I have family in the States where I also spent a year attending High School and many many summers traveling. Even though I already knew in High School that I wanted to become a conference interpreter I decided to study music :musical_score: – Jazz Accordion to be precise – prior to what I’m doing now. I do have a degree in it, I love playing the accordion BUT I never wanna work as a music teacher; it’s a hobby, it’s my passion but it’s never going to be my job. That’s why I’m more than happy that I found this community!
