Oh, an About Me section! I’m very boring. I studied French at school and at university, some 40 odd years ago. Now I’m living in France in a town of 7000 people (I guess 7002 now that my husband and I are here.) While I hoped to pick up all the French I have forgotten over the years just living here, (I only ever spoke it on holiday after leaving university,) it doesn’t work that way. One actually does have to study. Well, it staves off Altzheimer’s according to some research I have never fact-checked. I came to the south of France for the heat, the food, the wine. We live in a retirement complex, so I meet people every day and talk French every day. Some have taken it upon themselves to correct my French, others just feed me wine. I like to entertain, and enjoy cooking and playing with food. If the weather’s good I will eat outside.
I need to catch up with my guitar playing, my calligraphy, and other interests. Apparently when you are retired you have a lot of free time, but I think nobody fact-checked that either, so those will have to wait. For now, I have video games to play, French to remember, and a to-do list longer than my arm.
