My name’s Aeneas Murray.
I’m half Belgian/ half Scottish and I’ve grown up between France (Near Toulouse), Belgium (Brussels) and the UK (Kent). Furthermore, I’ve been educated all over the UK, having gone to prep school in East Sussex, secondary school in Dorset and University in Liverpool. I also lived in Edinburgh, Scotland before becoming an English language assistant with the British Council.
Languages have been a constant in my life and I read French & Hispanic studies at the University of Liverpool 2010-2014 with a semester in Lima, Peru at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences and a semester at Aix-Marseille, France.
These last few years I’ve been working on behalf of the British Council, for my first year teaching adults at the Official School of Languages in Tolosa helping students preparing students for the Cambridge Entrance Exams and the IELTS. Whilst for my second year I worked at the school of Sciences and Humanities CCH Sur which is the National Autonomous University of Mexico’s (U.N.A.M) (Mexico’s top University) preparatory school easing the transition for secondary school children to University.
Most recently, I completed my online CELTA course (last August) and have been teaching Asian students online since December. I’m delighted to be working for Chatterbug now since I can teach students from all over the world and Chatterbug’s platform system seems easy to use.
Finally, I’ve been fortunate enough to visit 5 continents (Europe, North America (USA & Mexico), South America (Argentina, Chile & Peru), Africa (Tunisia & Egypt) and Asia (Thailand, Cambodia & Indonesia) and live in Spain, Argentina, Chile and Mexico. I’m a keen sportsman having competed in Triathlon over the years, a dancer having learnt Salsa and an avid reader.
I enjoy teaching and talking with my students. I am looking forward to seeing you in my class!
