Hello everyone,
My name is Aurélie, and I’m from a charming little town on the west coast of France called Guérande. You might be familiar with its renowned salt! Historically, it’s part of Brittany. I’ve been living in the medieval city center for over three years now, which feels like quite a long time!
Indeed, I have a passion for travel, having spent over ten years living in various parts of France and abroad. I studied social sciences and culture, and my career took me to cultural organizations in Marseille, Montreal (Canada), and Berlin (Germany).
I then discovered my calling as an intercultural trainer in Hamburg, where I managed French-German projects. This experience inspired me to pursue teaching. My journey truly began in Tanzania, where I spent three years as a French teacher at the Alliance Française and a French school. Upon returning to France, I continued teaching French for an NGO.
Now, I’ve decided to join the Chatterbug team as a freelancer for the flexibility it offers, allowing me to travel anytime. My husband is from Tanzania, and we plan to visit his family for a few months.
I truly enjoy teaching my mother tongue and connecting with people from around the world to share stories and perspectives. I can’t wait to hear from you! I speak four languages: French, English, German, and Swahili. While learning a new language can be challenging at first, it brings immense joy when you can finally communicate, whether in small talk or deep conversations. I hope to help you build your confidence in your language skills!
You now know a little more about me. I can’t wait to discover more about you!
A bientôt,
Aurélie
