Lernst du Englisch und du willst ein paar Australische Redewendungen zu lernen?
Die Engländer haben ihre eigenen Redewendungen, die du vielleicht schon wissen. Australien hat auch seine eigenen interessanten Slangausdrücke.

G’day - hallo. Es ist kurz für “good day”
Mate - ein Freund. “G’day mate” - hallo Freund!
How’s it goin’? - wie geht’s? “G’day mate, how’s it going?” - hallo Freund, wie geht’s?

Sheila - eine Frau. Sheila ist der Name einer Frau. Aber man kann es zur Beschreibung jeder Frau verwenden. Vorsicht. Dieses Wort ist ein wenig unhöflich.

“No worries” is another expression we Aussies use a lot, in place of ‘no problem’, ‘don’t worry about it,’ or even ‘you’re welcome’.

Bin großer Fan davon, wie Australier alles mit -o am Ende abkürzen. Arvo, avo, servo,… personal favourite: smoko (a smoke break)

Mir wurde beim Reisen durch Australien bewusst, dass “How’s it goin’?” eher wie “how’s gaarrn” in manchen Regionen ausgesprochen wird

I have been teaching some of the students in my school how to say “Australian” with an Australian accent.

It’s important to know that you say it without the “L” so it’s “Uh-stray-yun”
