My life took a 180 degree turn. On February 21st I travel to Switzerland with my daughter. Next week we’ll go on a little farewell trip, I will be out of town. I wish you all a lot of fun and success with your German classes! I’m looking forward to see you again soon!
Bettina
Hello everyone
My name is Bettina, I’m originally from the German part of Switzerland. Almost 17 years ago I left Switzerland with my family, we emigrated to Coyhaique in the south of Chile. I speak German, English, Spanish and still remember a bit of French unfortunately I mix up the French with Spanish. Before I got married I used to travel a lot.
Speaking different languages helped me a lot then and now here in Patagonia. So in summer I work as a tour guide with the cruise liners in English and German. I enjoy chatting with people from all over the world, tell them about nature and culture in Patagonia. At the same time, I learn a lot about other places and customs. It keeps me in touch with the world, since we live either at the end or at the beginning of the world .
Last year I started to teach German to teenagers here in Coyhaique. I really enjoy the classes with them.
I started to give Babymassage classes here in the south two years ago. Our family business now, is farming. We breed Angus cattle and have a lot of hens to sell “Happy Eggs”.
I love to explore our region and to discover new beautiful places in my free time with my family. My hobbies are traveling, spending time with my family, reading a good book, meeting up with friends, watching good movies and a lot more : )
I’m looking forward to get to know you and to help you discover the German Language
