Per our Terms of Service, children under 13 are not allowed to study on the mobile app. Teaching children requires us to provide learning material that’s adapted to young learners and categorized by age, and our current study content is geared solely towards adult learners. Because of that, we also don’t provide Club tutors and Streamers with special training to lead video lessons with children. Chatterbug wants to provide a platform that’s adapted to childrens’ needs, and fully complies with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) before we open Chatterbug to children. Until then, Chatterbug needs to suspend any account created by and for young learners until the user can verify that they are 13 and older.
