Do you know the difference between joyeux and happy ?
Joyeux describes a temporary state of joy, for exemple when you just got a text message from your crush - you are joyful.
Heureux describes a more stable, long-term, general feeling of happiness.
Exemples :
Je suis vraiment joyeux ce matin, le soleil brille et j’ai congé !
Je suis heureuse que ma soeur soit mariée à un homme si attentionné.
