German prefix "stink..."

Maybe you heard, that someone is “stinkreich” or “stinkfaul”. This is a very funny detail in German grammar. Although “stinken” literally means “to stink”, you can make an adjektiv stronger, adding “stink-” as a kind of prefix.
Here are some examples:

  • stinkreich (extremely rich)
  • stinkfaul (extremely lazy)
  • stinklangweilig (extremely boring)
