Born in Hannover, Germany I left for Hong Kong aged 29 to establish a trading company and I have lived here ever since. Over the past couple of years, I have backed down to some extent from our business to engage in German and English tutoring.

I completed a TEFL course and now teach IELTS exam preparation courses at a local school. This is an English language proficiency test for people who wish to study in or emigrate to an English-speaking country. I also teach TestDaf exam prep courses which is the equivalent in German language. In addition, I am working part time as a court interpreter for the Hong Kong judiciary.

In my free time I enjoy scuba diving, both locally and in the Philippines, and I like to go to Nepal on vacation. Although not much of a trekker, I’ve come to enjoy paragliding very much. If you are located in Europe, we are most likely to meet in the morning because of the time difference – looking forward to our next Chatterbug session!

Hello Henning,

I look forward to meeting you tomorrow. I have recently passed my A1 exam and am looking to now practing speaking more at the A1 moving into the A2 level. My goal is to pass the A2 exam within the next year.
