Creo que prefiero el sabor y la aparencia rara (no se si se dice? I wanted to say that I like the weird aspect and texture of the fruit!) de la maracuyá. 
Podrías decir “prefiero el extraño sabor y apariencia de…” 
o “prefiero el raro sabor y la extraña apariencia”.
