I’m Léocadie - you can call me Léo to make it easier 
- and I’m 31 years old.
I’m from Brest, Brittany. I grew up there, fed by the Atlantic Ocean wind and salty butter

I studied philosophy, German and teaching French at university. I have been living in Austria and Germany and still continue to cross often the border for my work 
.
I have worked for two years in Paris for the French German Youth Office. It didn’t take long before I feel the need to go back to nature and to a more adventurous life.
Today I work as a freelance intercultural and linguistic trainer. Basically I help young people in their individual mobility projects and facilitate group exchanges by translating, taking care of the group dynamic in an intercultural context, and building bridges between people 
.
This job allows me to travel a lot and to meet many people. I’ve been on youth exchanges almost everywhere in Germany, in France, in Tunisia, in Senegal

Writing that now, as we’ve been struggling with Covid for such a long time, makes me really nostalgic of being on the road 
!
What else about me? I love being outside, walking, hiking, enjoying the seaside, the mountain or the forest. I love reading, listening to music - my father is a musician - , spend time with my friends and play with my fluffy cat.
By the way, I have no choice but to present him: Oscar is very curious and gets sometimes jealous when I speak too long with my computer. You may see his face from time to time

Learning a new language is a fascinating challenge. A language carries the way its speakers see the world and cultures are a strong part of our identity. Trying to make another language and culture its own means dealing with one’s deepest views on things and I find that just amazing.
As a language tutor, I feel like one of the many persons and events that will accompany you on this thrilling way 
!
