Hi, my name is Paul and I grew up on a dairy farm to the foot of the Austrain Alps. I live on the farm with my parents, my grandparents, my brother, his wife and their two sons. I often help out taking care of the cattle, driving tractors or cooking for our big family.
I have just finished my civil service at Kalkalpen National Park and my next step will be to study forestry at BOKU University in Vienna. I am really ecxited about this new chapter in my life, as living in a city such as Vienna is unknown territory for a country boy like me.
I speak German, English, a little bit of Czech and a little bit of French. I have just recently enrolled in a french course on Chatterbug, which I enjoy very much, although I should spend more time practicing vocabulary When I speak with friends or family, I do so in a typical Upper Austrian Dialect. Fortunately enough, standard German is also part of my skillset. But you if you are interested, feel free to ask for Austrian-German expressions too.
Some of my passions are: Singing, playing the guitar, helping out at my parents’ farm, working out at the gym and meeting friends. Just recently I have joined my first band. We are writing song after it is really thrilling for me.
I really hope I can spark in you the interest for the German language with every lesson. I will try to do so by creating a relaxed and encouraging learning environment, where you set the pace. Feel free to ask any question. Learning foreign languages is hard, but if we make it fun, progress will be our companion.
I look forward to meeting you and being your helping hand on your journey to learning German.
Best, Paul
