Reading...made interesting

I am not the type of person to stand in the book store for hours on end deciding which book to read next. :relaxed: I’m not the type of person to read every blurb of possible contenders, and then vote them out one-by-one like the game of Survivor. :see_no_evil:

I am the type of person who stealthily notices your reaction to the book you are reading (whether it be on a plane, train or bus), and then do my best to get hold of that same book to find out why! :eyes:

I was traveling from Lyngby to Copenhagen roughly three years ago, when a lady gets on the train with a book. :steam_locomotive:The trip lasted 30 minutes, with her constantly giggling at every page.
I was intrigued. I needed to know why. What made this book so funny?

Like a lion stalking its prey, I quietly and carefully tried to catch a glimpse of the cover. As she gets up to leave, I finally throw an eyeball her way, and have my first look at the cover.

IT IS IN DANISH! NOOOOOOOO! :scream:

Next step: Project Problem Solve! :bulb:

I frantically start googling the picture I saw on the front cover; “Danish book, girl glasses”; “Big glasses, girl, Danish”; “best books to read in Denmark”.

After many google searches and trips to the nearest book store, I finally managed to figure it out and I was so excited! :star_struck:

May I present to you:

A fun, witty read that will not only have you intrigued from start to finish, but will make you not want to put the book down!

Have you read this book? Are you planning on reading it?

Let me know what you think! :yum:

I have never heard of this book @ChereeKr but I love the investigation you did to find it!! :face_with_monocle:
I’ve seen people read novels I’ve read before on the commute, and I loved watching their faces while reading too!

It has been a long time since I’ve read a novel :see_no_evil:. It looks interesting! Funny way to find it, by the way :yum:. It reminds me when one looks for a song in google and writes “song that sounds like nanananununa :musical_note:”.

Very nice @ChereeKr! I read this book and really enjoyed it as well – quite funny, even more so if you’re familiar with the behavior of private school parents :joy:

I haven’t seen the movie - I should line that up for next weekend!
