I´m originally from Duisburg in Germany, but I´m living in Mexico for more than 20 years now. I studied social work in Germany, but since I couldn´t work in my profession in Mexico I got into language teaching. Language learning and teaching became quickly a passion of mine. I´m especially fascinated by the way language influences our culture and our perception of the world and ourselves.
I worked for more than 15 years as a German teacher at language schools and the last years at an international school in junior high and highschool. I love working with teenagers, but I have worked with people from 2 to 70 years and all were great and I enjoyed working with all of them.
Now, apart from being a tutor at Chatterbug, I manage a beautiful retreat centre outside town and enjoy living in beautiful, quiet and inspiring surroundings . I share my little house with my cat 
and my two

Apart from German and Spanish I speak English quite well, because I lived in the US before moving to Mexico. I also lived in France for a year, but my French is quite rusty and I´d love to activate it again.
I love being outside, but I also love to read and I´m a regular meditator.
In October 2021, during a long stay in Spain, I was ordained into the Buddhist Order I’m practicing with and was given a new name: Vidyachandra (which means: she, whose wisdom is like moonlight).
I´m always happy to meet new students as well as familiar faces!
