I just ran across this lovely little poem (posted on reddit) and it so beautifully captures the struggle with language that I felt compelled to share here.

This infinite frustration of not being able to do sentences that are somewhat nice or poetic, make jokes or to argue one’s point… well, we learn how to deal with that (“Pas du tout”

Oooh, I love Szymborska’s poetry! I’ve recently started reading her poems in German (mostly those translated by Karl Dedecius), and his translations are sometimes even better than the original. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!
