We have a 10-min-lateness policy at Chatterbug that requires both students and tutors to wait for each other for ten minutes after the start of a session. If your tutor doesn’t show up within those 10 minutes, the lesson will close automatically, you will not be charged for this session and an extra credit will automatically be added to your account.
If a tutor cancels your lesson, you will of course keep your Live Lesson credit. You can then use your credit for your next Live Lesson. When tutors cancel or do not show up to lessons, their attendance ratings decrease. Chatterbug tutors are paid per lesson and a drop in their attendance rating results in them having access to fewer lessons, which in turn, affects how much they earn.
