Haha every Spanish class I have taken always introduced “La Camisa Negra” by Juanes. So catchy and fun to listen to!

my Spanish teacher was fond of Juanes and she made us learn the song by heart 
But I think the first songs I heard were two famous film scores :
Porque te vas from the movie “Cría Cuervos”
and Piensa en mi from the movie “Tacones lejanos”
Sad but beautiful 
That song is a classic! But I’m not so sure if the lyrics are the best ones to learn hehe

Juanes - La Camisa Negra 
No es exactamente Merengue, sino Cumbia / Technocumbia, pero él es super conocido aquí:
HAHA you’re right! I always wondered why this song was chosen for our classes. 
One of the first songs I learned in Spanish while in university was “La Botella” by Mach and Daddy because it played often in a lot of Florida nightclubs 
and everyone would sing along 
. The lyrics are very simple and repetitive so the song is great for beginner learners, but not for those who are underage! 
You also learn affirmative commands: “¡Pásame la botella!” Drink responsibly. 
Anyone else heard of this song?
OMG! That’s a classic in Colombia 
. You’re right it is not suitable for all ages but in the parties it was hit. It also teaches future sentences: “Voy a beber en nombre de ella”
