Hi there! Nice to meet you :blush:

My name is Wiebke. I am from Germany, but living in Cape Town. I was always interested in different cultures and keen to move abroad. I love traveling and exploring the world. I traveled a lot of European countries :eu:, made a backpacking tour through Central and South America for 7 months and walked the Way of St. James in Spain five times.
In Spain, I also met my husband, who is South African. I decided to move here in 2019 and we got married :people_holding_hands: :south_africa:

I studied nutritional sciences :watermelon: :grapes: :carrot: :avocado: and always worked in the setting of schools. My last job in Germany was teaching nutrition and biology in a Gymnasium.

However, I couldn´t just pick up my career path in South Africa, so I decided to teach German instead :de: :hugs: Chatterbug allows me to stay connected with my home country and mother tongue, but also talk to so many different people and listen to their stories.

My husband and I had an eco-friendly online shop for two years, but we unfortunatly had to close as it didn´t survive the pandamic :earth_africa: :green_heart: :broken_heart:. Now, we are busy with new projects and very excited to see where our journey leads us.

In my spare time I like to exercise :weight_lifting_woman:, hike :footprints:, dance :dancer:, do yoga :person_in_lotus_position:, cook, bake :cupcake: and do arts and crafts :art: :thread:.

I am looking forward to get to know you and listen to your stories :smiley:
